Why are they called ugly?
Every Christmas symbol seems to be associated with this over the top knitted sweaters, with bright colors, and odd patterns. It become a hit in 1995, with the first party dedicated to them, and it's crazy. Go figure. The pom poms, Santa and/or reindeer, Grinch and Max and any other famously recognizable icons have adorned their personalities to this trend. We love to dismiss this fashion every year, but place it high on our list of party themes. Why? Because it's fun and we simply enjoy life's unmistakable tribute to a seasonal fashion faux pas. The theme is simple, it's fun, and as far as the holiday race goes, it's out-trending the family pajama photos where they're all dressed the same. Yikes! People do the craziest stuff during the holidays.
